# QuickBooks – Integration Setup

This guide outlines how to connect your QuickBooks account to Antei to enable automated syncing of financial and compliance-relevant data.

## Authentication Method

Antei uses **OAuth 2.0 authorization** to connect securely with your QuickBooks account.

* **Type:** OAuth 2.0 (Authorization Code Flow)
* **Scopes Requested:**
  * Read-only access to customers, vendors, invoices, accounts, and transactions
  * No access to banking credentials or sensitive billing configuration
* **Token Management:** Secure auto-refresh using Intuit’s token system
* **Security:** Tokens are encrypted and scoped per organization. No credentials are stored.

## Step-by-Step Setup

### 1. Navigate to Integrations → QuickBooks

From the Antei dashboard, go to the **Integrations** tab and click **Connect QuickBooks**.

### 2. Authorize Access via QuickBooks

You’ll be redirected to the QuickBooks OAuth screen. Select your organization and approve the requested scopes.

### 3. Configure Sync Settings

Once connected, customize sync behavior:

* **Jurisdiction Mapping** — match entities to countries for tax scope
* **Historical Sync Window** — fetch last 3, 6, or 12 months of data
* **Filter by Accounts / Vendors** — limit sync to relevant records
