# Slack – Integration Setup

This guide walks you through connecting your Slack workspace to Antei, enabling automated, structured tax and compliance notifications across your finance and legal teams.

## Authentication Method

Antei connects via **OAuth 2.0** using Slack’s granular bot scopes.

* **Type:** OAuth 2.0 + Slack App Installation
* **Permissions Granted:**
  * `chat:write` — to send outbound notifications
  * `channels:read` — to fetch a list of available public channels for routing
* **Scope of Access:** No read access to messages, users, or files
* **Security:** Permissions are scoped to specific channels and logged per workspace

## Step-by-Step Setup

### 1. Navigate to Integrations → Slack

In your Antei dashboard, go to **Integrations** and click **Connect Slack**.

### 2. Authorize App in Slack

You will be redirected to Slack’s OAuth screen. Select your workspace and approve the Antei bot with `chat:write` and `channels:read` permissions.

### 3. Configure Notification Channels

Back in Antei, define the routing rules for your Slack messages:

* Select a **default channel** for compliance alerts
* Map **entity- or jurisdiction-specific channels** if needed
* Customize message templates for return reminders, notices, and escalations

## Verification & Testing

Antei posts a test message to validate configuration and permissions:

* ✅ Channel fetch and availability check
* ✅ Test message delivery confirmation
* 📝 Audit log created under **Settings → Logs**

**What permissions does Antei request?**\
Only `chat:write` and `channels:read`. No other access is requested.

**Does Antei sync Slack data?**\
Only the list of channels is synced (daily), to support message routing. No user or message data is accessed.

**Can I configure messages per jurisdiction?**\
Yes — routing and templates are fully customizable per entity, country, or trigger type.

**How do I revoke access?**\
You can disconnect Slack from within Antei or via **Slack Admin Console → Apps → Antei**.
