# Setup

# Microsoft Teams – Integration Setup

This guide explains how to securely connect Microsoft Teams to Antei and configure compliance notifications to be sent to your organization’s Teams channels.

## Authentication Method

Antei uses **OAuth 2.0** via the Microsoft Graph API for secure authorization.

* **Type:** OAuth 2.0 (Authorization Code Flow)
* **Scope Requested:** `ChannelMessage.Send` (send-only)
* **Access Level:** Write access to post messages in configured channels
* **Security:** Token access is scoped per organization and fully encrypted

> 🔐 Antei is **SOC 2 compliant**. No data is read or stored from Microsoft Teams — only outbound messages are supported and audit-logged.

## Step-by-Step Setup

### 1. Navigate to Integrations → Microsoft Teams

From your Antei dashboard, go to **Integrations** and click **Connect Microsoft Teams**.

### 2. Authorize the Connection

You’ll be redirected to Microsoft’s secure OAuth consent screen. Approve the Antei app to post messages in your selected Teams channels.

### 3. Select Destination Channels

Once connected, define the channels Antei should use for delivering compliance updates:

* Set a **default global channel**
* Map **channels per jurisdiction or entity**
* Configure **message frequency and triggers**

> ✅ Antei fetches only the **channel list** to route messages. No users, DMs, or chat logs are accessed.

## Verification & Testing

After completing setup, Antei will send a test message to validate the connection:

* ✅ Message delivery confirmed
* ✅ Channel access verified
* 📝 Event logged under **Org Settings → Audit Trail**

**What permissions does Antei request?**\
Only `ChannelMessage.Send` — scoped strictly to sending messages in approved channels.

**Can I choose different channels per region?**\
Yes. You can configure default and jurisdiction-specific destinations.

**Is Antei able to read any Microsoft Teams data?**\
No. This integration is outbound-only — no messages, users, or content are read or stored.

**Can I revoke access?**\
Yes. You may disconnect from either Antei or via the Microsoft Admin Center → App Management.
