BambooHR – Integration Setup
This guide outlines how to connect BambooHR to Antei to sync employee data and enable automated tax compliance workflows.
Authentication Method
Antei connects to BambooHR using OAuth 2.0 or API key depending on your account tier.
- Type: OAuth 2.0 or API Token
- Scopes Requested:
- Read-only access to employee profile fields
- Access Includes: Name, email, location, department, employment status
- Security: No write or admin access. Tokens are encrypted and workspace-scoped
🔐 Antei is SOC 2 compliant. No payroll, compensation, or sensitive HR data is accessed.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Navigate to Integrations → BambooHR
In the Antei dashboard, go to Integrations and click Connect BambooHR.
2. Authorize via OAuth or API Token
You’ll be prompted to enter your BambooHR subdomain and either:
- Grant access via BambooHR’s OAuth flow
- Or enter a secure API token (if provided by your HR team)
3. Configure Sync Settings
Once connected, define your sync logic:
- Filter by location, employment type, or status
- Auto-map employees to entities and jurisdictions
- Sync frequency is hourly by default
✅ You can refine visibility based on departments or tags. No data is pushed back to BambooHR.
Verification & Testing
After setup, Antei validates your connection:
- ✅ Test fetch of 1 employee
- ✅ Location mapping confirmation
- ✅ Logging activity in Settings → Logs
